Although my vacation of choice is a tropical destination, I love a Disney vacation. One of my most memorable vacations was a multigenerational family trip to Disney World.
We visited Disney World in early May. I don't think it was too hot. Mark, my husband, would say otherwise. Coming from the Pacific Northwest, it was a little jolt to the system. Still, I welcomed the sun and warm temperatures.
I think we went at an ideal time, except for the lovebugs. Oh, the lovebugs. Ever heard of the Florida lovebugs? Google them and find out. Not a fan of bugs that fly two or more attached to each other at the same time? – You may want to rethink visiting Disney World in April-May and August-September (just sayin'). They were everywhere! Despite the lovebugs, we had a great time.
Disney World doesn't have to be just rides and character visits. Epcot International hosts festivals throughout the year, such as the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival and the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. And for you Star Wars fans, Disney World and Disneyland both recently opened Galaxy's Edge.
Disneyland, for me, is closer to home, and I've been there several times. I prefer it over Disney World mainly because of its smaller size of only having two parks vs. the four (six if you count the waterparks) Disney World has.
A word of caution - don't let that cute-looking Mickey ride in the background fool you. It was one of the scariest rides I've ever been on. My husband wanted to ride the roller coaster afterward, and I told him my scary ride ticket for the day had been used up on the gondola ride. I researched that ride, and I'm not the only one who feels this way….
Disney also does cruises, guided tours, and Hawaii. I believe every family photo album should have at least one Disney vacation. If you want to know more about scheduling a Disney vacation, reach out to me. I'd be happy to help!
